To introduce others to Gremlin Tamingis to give them a life-long gift. To effectively guide them to make maximum use of this powerful process requires specific training and knowledge. The Taming Your Gremlin® One Year Training Program affords select, exceptional professionals an opportunity to develop a bone-deep understanding of the gremlin taming process and how to use it in their own lives and in their guidance of others.

“ Gremlin is not merely a metaphor for negative thoughts. And Gremlin Taming is not simply a matter of choosing positive over negative thinking. Rather, the former is the source of most human strife and societal distress and the latter is an age-old quest that truly is the heart of the matter where inner peace and living in harmony with others is concerned.”

Program Summary:
The One Year Training Program is comprised of seven training sequences, each consisting of a one and a half day group training event. Fifteen one-hour teleclasses are interspersed throughout the One Year Training Program. These Integration Sessions afford trainees an opportunity to focus in a deeply practical way on personal and professional issues as they emerge in their ongoing use of the Gremlin Taming method. To learn more about each sequence, click on the table to the right.
Emphasis is on each trainee integrating knowledge and on developing a potent Gremlin Taming style that is comfortable and consistent with his/her natural way of being.
We recognize that people come into the Training Program with a range of life experiences and previous inner awakenings as well as various levels of experience with the method. Let us assure you, whether you are a talented tenderfoot or a crusty old pro, your natural style and professionalism will be respected, you will move at a pace that is comfortable for you, and you will most certainly become a more effective Inner Guide.
FINAL EXAMINATION
Since as a graduate you may be invited to partner with us on Gremlin Taming projects, and as such become a representative of The Gremlin Taming Institute, we want to do all we can to make certain that your knowledge of Gremlin-Taming is cognitively sound (that is, that you are able to explain the key concepts clearly) and integrated (that is, that you know precisely how to apply them personally and as a guide). The final exam gives you an opportunity to demonstrate what you’ve learned and how well you’ve learned it.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Our interest is in developing long-lasting, mutually satisfying partnerships rather than in certifying vast numbers of people. The application process is designed to help us and you get a feel for one another. The deadline for completion of the Application Process is October 15, 2003. The application process consists of three steps. Step 1: Completion of Sequence One (Taming Your Gremlin: The Workshop), Step 2: Completion and submission of the Written Application, and Step 3: Participation in a Mutual Selection Interview.
Step 1: Completion of Level One (Taming Your Gremlin: The Workshop)
Step 2: Completion and Submission of the Written Application
The application is included here and like any application it is limited. In short, we want to know that those with whom we partner are self aware, innovative, have integrity, have at least a rough idea of what they want to do in the realm of Gremlin Taming and how they want to do it; that they have the resources or the plans for getting the resources to get it done; and a track record when it comes to goal attainment. We would also like to know that your values and ours are in line.
Step 3: Participating in a Mutual Selection Interview
Your interview will be scheduled after you have completed the above two steps. This conversation usually lasts about an hour and may be done by phone. It is an opportunity for you and for us to get our questions answered.
Because our interest is in developing long-lasting mutually satisfying partnerships, not simply in handing out certificates, we insist on limited enrollment, and no matter how you slice it, our selection process is subjective. You may be: accepted into the program, asked to wait until the next training cycle, accepted conditionally, or simply told that we don’t think that you and we are a good match and why.
PRIVATE LESSONS:
You may avail yourself of a personal consultation in the form of a private lesson at any point throughout your training. Private Lessons may be done by phone or face to face and may include from one to three people. While personal attention to trainees is a hallmark of the entire training program, Private Lessons are considered a separate entity and are not included in the standard tuition. These confidential consultations may emphasize personal as well as interpersonal issues, but always with a bent toward an increase in your professional effectiveness. Typically, Private Lessons last 45 minutes, although half sessions and double sessions are not uncommon.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION:
This certificate attests simply that you have completed the Taming Your Gremlin® One Year Training Program and may say so. (Those who have not completed the Training Program cannot legally or ethically use terms that imply in any way they have been trained by or that their services are endorsed by Richard D. Carson and/or The Gremlin Taming Institute.)
OPPORTUNITIES FOR COLLABORATION
In an effort to expand and deepen the public's awareness of Gremlin Taming, it is our desire to mentor and collaborate with graduates of the One Year Training Program to develop products and services that we can heartily endorse and promote.
Our primary goal is to preserve the integrity of a process that for 20 plus years has made and continues to make a positive difference in the lives of thousands of people. To that end, we reserve the right to exercise quality control (and final approval) over all products and services, including, but not limited to, workshops, presentations, and teleclasses using the Gremlin Taming theme. And we expect to participate in revenues generated from these products and services in a way that is fair, mutually gratifying, and profitable for all concerned.
CONTINUING COACHING EDUCATION
Application has been made to the International Coach Federation for 49 CCEU’s for the workshop portions of this training program. Seven Integration Sessions are not included as CCEU's.
CONTINUING TAMING YOUR GREMLIN EDUCATION
You will be encouraged to participate in 10 hours of continuing education per year, five of which must be in face to face contact with Institute faculty and the rest of which may be in the form of Private Lessons via telephone or teleclasses. Two years after completing The One Year Training Program, you may apply to help us provide these continuing education activities. If you are selected to do so, your participation as a leader may be counted toward your continuing education.
